2 June 2000 :: Hahaha YES! Now this is the coolest shit I've seen in a while. A co-worker of mine, Marc Bloomquist, after seeing Assembler decided that he wanted to see if he could recreate the site, except do it entirely in Flash. And the results are crazy awesome. Go and check out the 100% Flash Assembler-wannabe at M40.com!
Assembler is an experimental DHTML project by Brent Gustafson. All of this site has been coded by hand from scratch using a simple text editor and a copy of O'Reilly's Dynamic HTML book for syntax reference (no WYSIWYG editors). No other outside assistance has been used to create this site.

Assembler should work in both IE 4+ and Netscape 4+ on both Mac and PC. It has been built this way to prove you can do cool things with DHTML cross platform/browser.
